Long overdue...a year in review

It has been quite some time since my last post on this blog. I've been to India, and likely will be going back in 2011 for business. That does not mean this site has gone dark. Over the last six+ months I've focused on tweeting interesting articles that I have come across (follow @idlewatch).

I think you'll find in my tweet timeline that many of the tweets are focused on digital advertising, technology, or social media. However, there are quite a few gems from a talent & operations basis that made 2010 a good year for me to start using the social listening tools that are changing our world.

In the coming weeks and months I will continue using Twitter to post interesting articles that I think are worthwhile reads. Every couple of weeks I'll post some thoughts here on how those tweets connect or can connect to the things we do as talent managers.

Here's to 2011.

3 Free iPad apps that inspire & improve productivity from Day One

About a month ago, I won a free iPad at a company event. The theme of the event was to share what inspires us. When I found out that I was a winner, I wasn't sure at first how I would use the device. What is Idle Watch?

In my professional experience I have had a multitude of roles that have started as administrative positions but eventually bent towards actual office management. I found that I really enjoyed this line of work. So I decided to specialize in this field. After a few years of study at Baruch College for Operations Management (along with a minor in Communications), I have been working as a member of the Talent Operations (Resource Management, Staffing, Referee, etc) team at Digitas for approximately two years now.
